Understanding Ayurveda

Ayurveda, an ancient healing system, centers on balance. It focuses on bodily energies (Doshas), digestion (Agni), bodily tissues (Dhaatus), and waste
elimination (Mala) for your bodily wellness.

Dosha (दोष)

Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Dosha - Each person has a unique blend of these, and imbalances among them can lead to health issues. Ayurveda aims to balance these energies to maintain health.

Dhatu (धातु)

Dhatus are the body's seven basic tissues (such as blood, muscle, bone, and reproductive tissues). Proper nourishment and maintenance of these Dhaatus contribute to overall health.

Mala (मल)

Mala refers to waste products or bodily excretions (such as urine, feces, and sweat). Proper elimination of Mala is crucial for maintaining good health.

Agni (अग्नि)

Agni represents the digestive fire in the body responsible for the digestion and assimilation of food. A balanced Agni is essential for good digestion and overall well-being.

Shri Hakim Dhari Shah (1869-1943)

Our story starts over 100 years back, with the establishment of our first pharmacy in 1889 in Mian Wali (near Lahore) by the Late Shri Hakim Dhari Shah, a well-known and renowned Ayurvedic hakim during his time. His formulated Ayurvedic medicines helped several locals relieve their ailments and restore good health. His idea and methodology earned him the name of Shri Hakim Ji in the region. He laid the foundations of what Dharishah Ayurveda is today. We follow his ideology, happiness, and thought process to heal others and provide treatments without side effects.
